WebbPhimosis is a condition of the penis that occurs in some adults and children who aren’t circumcised. If you have phimosis, your foreskin can’t be pulled back (retracted). It may look like your penis has rings around the tip. Having phimosis isn’t necessarily a problem. It only becomes a problem when it causes symptoms. There are three mechanical conditions that prevent foreskin retraction: The tip of the foreskin is too narrow to pass over the glans penis. This is normal in children and adolescents. The inner surface of the foreskin is fused with the glans penis. This is normal in children and adolescents but abnormal in adults.
