WebJan 5, 2024 · A standard short stubby fan screw that comes in with your average fan is #8 and those are also used for some custom cooling radiators, like Hardware Labs and Corsair's Hydro X line. However, most AIO radiators are #6-32 machine. When you put a #6 screw through the fan hole, there should be plenty of daylight around the shaft.

WebBut in PCBS we only get fans on one side of a radiator and can't add more and that (usually) will actually act like a blockage. You do get -some- airflow through a radiator with just fans on one side but it's only about like 20%, even if the fans are cranked to max. Really need the other set on the other side to help pull it through. "Push/Pull" will usually add a bit of performance but takes a lot more room to do RIGHT- using shrouds on both sides. Push/Pull helps with a MAX performance system because it gets more air through than a fan on only one side.
